About Post

  • In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal counseling to internal business and product teams across a diverse range of issues.

  • You will partner closely with colleagues across the litigation team as well as regional and global legal teams.

  • You will report to Meta’s Director and Associate General Counsel located in Menlo Park.

Legal Director, India Responsibilities

  • Advise the company in connection with business and regulatory matters and help guide and drive strategic legal decision-making

  • Collaborate with diverse teams including legal, public policy, communications and sales & marketing teams, on a broad range of legal matters

  • Partner with the public policy team on engagement with regulators and provide legal input on developing regulations that could impact Meta

  • Lead and inspire team of legal counsels and create a culture of engagement, inclusion, development and growth for your team and the broader community

  • Represent Facebook externally to varied stakeholders and audiences

  • Work on projects in other areas, including areas involving unfamiliar subject matters

  • Some travel may be required

Minimum Qualifications

  • 18+ years of relevant experience, including prior in-house experience with Internet or technology companies and/or a law firm with applicable experience

  • LLB, with minimum 15 years PQE

  • Demonstrated experience advising clients, in-house clients and business partners on a range of complex legal issues with a business solutioning mindset

  • Experience collaborating and influencing strategically across cross-functional partners at all levels in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience building and leading teams, characterized by a culture of inclusion and a growth mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to speak fluently in Hindi and/or other Indian languages
