
Swiggy operates as India's top food delivery company by bringing restaurant meals from local eateries to customers through its convenient platform. Through its simple interface plus speedy delivery and customer service Swiggy changed India's internet food delivery sector. It serves both food deliveries plus delivers essential goods and groceries to customers' doorstep.
This position oversees Swiggy's legal division for a principal segment. It handles business choices, contracts, regulations, and safety while addressing food regulations, data security, e-business regulations, and financial technology requirements.
You will create legal processes and guide procurement and operations teams while helping products meet standards and monitoring regulatory needs and potential dangers. This position will receive direction from our General Counsel and work closely with the Swiggy marketplace team.
⢠Structuring and evaluating business initiatives & drafting policies and SOPs.
⢠Setting Up Governance Structure.
⢠Advising and supporting end-to-end on-going businesses undertaken by the verticals.
⢠Proactively advise and assist in managing important changes in laws and regulation, identifying risks and preparing mitigation strategy.
⢠Lead the team in developing processes, policies and procedures designed to reduce legal risk and/or increase efficiency.
⢠Work with support functions and business team to ensure that policies of the company are being implemented, work with business teams to ensure compliance and smooth implementation of policies and processes.
⢠Work on new projects.
LL.B., from a recognized university in India or relevant qualification , 10-12 years of experince.
Competence in broad range of corporate and business laws, especially in both Indian domestic and international commercial transaction and intellectual property.
Extensive experience and strong skills in drafting and negotiating contracts; Extensive experience in analyzing and responding to regulatory and compliance matters.
Expertise in analysing and assessing business risks, processes, issues and propose/implement solutions; Ability to function autonomously yet communicate laterally and upwardly with ease and transparency.
