About Birla Paints division, Grasim Industries Ltd
A new venture in the space of paints, Birla Paints division – Grasim is set to offer a diversified new-age portfolio of paints and related products in line with global megatrends. Planned to have presence across multiple locations in India.
Candidate Profile
To lend proactive legal support to the newly launched Paints business, we are looking to hire a young and creative In-house counsel having 6-8 yrs of PQE with renowned corporate houses to join our vibrant team in Mumbai.
Candidates with substantial manufacturing experience and who have shown job stability in current / previous stints shall be given preference.
The candidate will report to the Head Legal, Paints Business, and shall possess high level of self sufficiency organization skills, proactivity, hunger to contribute, and ability to enjoy quick paced and busy environment.
Responsibilities
The candidate shall be responsible for
1. Legal Documentation and Contract Management
Supporting businessteams on drafting, vetting, negotiation and finalizing contracts such as co-operation MOUs / tender documents, EPC contracts, allotment letters, lease deeds, sub-contract agreements, utility agreements, infrastructure sharing agreements, master services agreements with external parties
2. Business Advisory
The candidate will work with business teams on drafting business guidelines / SOPs on HR, social media, ethics, compliance & risk management, intellectual property, data protection and contract management policies.
3. Legal Metrology
In line with the business strategy, advise business and units and corporate functions on regulations, laws, orders, etc., under Legal Metrology Act.
4. Statutory and Regulatory Compliances
Map legal compliances, owners and approvers matrix and implement legal compliance tool across manufacturing units.
Additional Qualifications
Litigation experience will be a plus
Educational Qualification
LL.B. / LL.M., BA. LL.B. from reputable institute
PQE Experience
6-8 yrs PQE
Travel
Frequent travel required to multiple locations
Language skills
Excellent English writing, articulation skills
