About Post
The Chief Counsel , is the leader of the AECOM India Legal Team and a member of the global AECOM Legal Team.
Responsibilities
Leading the India legal function and managing the legal affairs across the India business to ensure it complies with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Providing proactive, solutions focused, legally sound advice and support in a timely fashion to the AECOM India business.
Building a high performing, proactive and engaged legal team.
Working collaboratively with the AECOM Global Chief Counsel, India Leadership and the broader Legal Team to add real value to the business.
Participate in the India Risk Committee, as well as managing risk across the India business.
The Chief Counsel, will develop a detailed knowledge of AECOM’s policies and procedures and the laws and policies that impact AECOM’s businesses within the region.
The Chief Counsel, will use his or her best endeavours to ensure that AECOM’s businesses are aware of and comply with AECOM’s policies and procedures and the laws and policies that impact AECOM’s businesses in the regions inclusive within India.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Laws from a reputable university
A current practicing certificate
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum fifteen (15) years post admission experience
Demonstrated experience working within the Indian construction industry in an international company and/or top-tier law firm
Proven experience managing a legal team
