In this candid and deeply personal talk, Chris Parsons gives a two fold perspective on his life at a leading global law firm - the one visible to the world and the one outside the workplace. He discusses his struggles with alcoholism, depression and anxiety while highlighting measures one can take to address mental ill health at workplace and find a good work-life balance. Chris Parsons is the Partner of the global law firm, Herbert Smith Freehills and Chairman of the India practice of the firm. He was included in the Financial Times Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyer awards for his work in India including his lectures at a number of Indian Law Schools which involves an annual programme with Oxford University. Apart from helping guide his firm's social initiatives in India, Mr. Parsons is an acclaimed mental health champion. He is a board member of the leading mental health research charity, MQ Mental Health Research.
