Jailed NCP leaders move SC for attending Maha floor test

One-liner: Jailed Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLAs Nawab Malik and Anil Deshmukh on Wednesday moved the SC seeking permission to participate in the Maharashtra Assembly floor test. 

Booked under PMLA: A vacation bench was told by an advocate that the two MLAs have been booked for offences under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and are in jail. 

Floor test: He said the two leaders want to participate in the Maharashtra legislative assembly floor test scheduled to be held today.

To prove majority: The advocate said they are moving an intervention application which may be heard after the plea of Shiv Sena leader Sunil Prabhu challenging the decision of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari asking Maha Vikas Aghadi govt to prove majority today.
