HC refuses to interfere in AIADMK meet

One-liner: The Madras HC on Wednesday refused to interfere with the general council and executive committee meeting of the AIADMK scheduled to be held at Vanagaram in Chennai.

Green light: A judge gave the green light after holding that the court can't interfere with the conduct of the meeting today and apply any restrictions on adopting resolutions.

  • The HC was passing orders on a batch of writ petitions for and against the meeting 

Leadership issue: This comes in the backdrop of the tussle over the single leadership issue in the party between two camps - one led by Edappadi K Palaniswami and another by O Panneerselvam.
