Law panel report: A bench was hearing a plea filed by BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay seeking a direction to the Centre to take steps to follow Law Commission Report-267 on hate speech.
The reason: Upadhyay said hate speech frequently happens during election time and that is why he wanted the Election Commission impleaded.
