Amazon MGM Studios, formerly Amazon Studios, is a film and television production and distribution studio owned by Amazon. Originally launched on November 16, 2010, it adopted its current name on October 4, 2023, following the merger with MGM Holdings, which Amazon acquired the previous year.
As of September 2023, the studio’s productions are primarily distributed through theaters under the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) banner and via Amazon Prime Video, the company's streaming service.

Amazon Studios seeks a talented Corporate Counsel to support its rapidly growing ad-supported streaming (AVOD) business in India. This role will oversee all legal aspects of TV content development, production, and marketing for scripted and unscripted series.
Handle all legal aspects of scripted and unscripted TV productions, from rights acquisition to clearance and compliance.
Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including talent, production, and format deals.
Advise on intellectual property, digital media, entertainment, labor laws, and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate with global legal teams, outside counsel, and internal stakeholders.
LL.B. (undergraduate law degree) from a top tier university in India.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization.
A minimum of 8 years of experience as a lawyer, with several years of experience with a studio, production house, or an entertainment and media law firm in television development, production, marketing and strong skills in drafting and negotiating complex contracts.
High degree of independence, initiative, and decisiveness, with a desire to be challenged and think outside the box.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work closely with and advise senior executives.
Strong team player and consensus builder with excellent people skills.
Effective collaborator who can build relationships with attorneys and business clients at all levels.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding legal and business judgment, especially in ambiguous situations.
Upholds the highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.
In-house experience in the media space with a reputed MNC.
