We need someone that can take on a key role, that is responsible for managing a broad spectrum of responsibilities that are key to our organizationโs success.Key functions include:
Manage licensing agreements for both inbound and outbound content.
Handle contracts related to content and app distribution.
Oversee subscription models, including wallets, bundling options, and coupons.
Negotiate partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and payment gateways.
Draft and review contracts related to production, including commissioning, co-production, underlying works, and development.
Conduct due diligence for various transactions.
Manage agreements associated with gaming, sales (including direct sales and volume discounts), marketing, and secondary business activities.
Advises the business team regarding transactions with legal and commercial advice providing procurement of rights, monetization embargos, intellectual property advisory and contractual obligations.
Draft notices and responses to notices for pre-litigation matters related to Sony LIV.
Preparing of submissions on policy and consultation papers by MEITY, MIB, TRAI (OTT-related), similar authorities etc.
Work with IAMAI or any other independent body.
LL.B. (undergraduate law degree) from a recognized university in India.
At least 6-7 years of legal experience is required, preferably obtained from major global law firms or in-house positions with multinational corporations.
Experience interpreting and managing significant commercial transactions and intellectual property issues.
Experience in the Media & Entertainment industry of 3-4 years.
2 years handling transactions related to OTT/digital platforms.
