Federation Of Indian Corporate Lawyers (‘FICL’) Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Beihai Asia International Arbitration Centre Pte Ltd (‘BAIAC’) which is an arbitral centre incorporated in Singapore by Beihai Arbitration Commission, Guangxi Province, China.
FICL is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the BAIAC to promote efficient and lower-cost international arbitration for small to medium value disputes, which are prevalent in today’s common cross-border commercial transactions in the region.
Under the said MOU, FICL and BAIAC will jointly organise in-person, hybrid, and virtual conferences, seminars and workshops on international arbitration in India and Singapore.
The MOU was signed on 27 May 2022 by Dr. Ashok Sharma, Founder & CEO, FICL with Dr. SB Mitra Hon President, FICL and Professor Steve Ngo, President & Executive Director, BAIAC during the inaugural summit "FICL 1st Corporate Lawyers Summit 2022" took place on May 27, 2022 at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi which focused on how general counsel can improve their business value beyond just managing risk, how they can lead with impact and what should be on their agendas going forward.
